A group of railfans and railroaders including several Canadians chartered Dave's caboose for a tour of Indiana Northeastern Railroad. It turned out the railroad had a freight train that had outlawed south of Pleasant Lake the day before, so in addition to a locomotive and caboose, the visitors had a bonus, twenty-odd cars of freight with some switching and set-outs en route.

Heading north

Approaching the new overpass at Steuben County Road 100N (Harcourt Road). Doug Olsen is on the bridge with his camera.

Fremont, Indiana

Departing Fremont

Lunch stop at Reading, Michigan

Rays Restaurant (sign partly obscured by trees) is renowned throughout the area for generous portions of good food

I'd like to see some old-school "railroad bulls" with instructions to "do whatever it takes" to eliminate tagging.

Hillsdale Yard

Minus the freight train and extra locomotives, ready to leave Hillsdale to return to Pleasant Lake
